    Re: J.I.B. VS POUND

should have been a closer game considering pound committed 13 or 14 errors and only got out hit by 1 hit
caleb stanley and justin mullins did great pitching got ground balls and pop ups just like they should have but way to many errors for the wildcats

Yeah it would have been close if the outcome were determined by hits but unfortunately for you all fielding the ball is also part of the game,i believe the infield made all of those errors didnt they??

You all have pretty good sticks, coach Wilson needs to take that infield and work there butts off everyday with about 100+ groundballs a day,and teach them to stay down on the ball, and relax, until he fixes that infield problem, its going to be a long season, because you know you have to make the routine plays, and not give a team 6 or 7 out a inning.Like i said the outfield looked pretty solid along with the hitting aspect of the game good luck guys!!!!!

    Re: J.I.B. VS POUND

well the sad thing about it is that wilson does give them a butt load of groundballs each day and they still mess up in games
but then again 2 of them that make most of them are freshmen so that could be jsut some gitters that they have being freshmen
but lets home they work it out
    thanks

    Re: J.I.B. VS POUND

Does he have the right people in the right posotions in your opinion, that is the sign of a good coach knowing the talent and reconizing it and putting it in the proper places, those freshman wiil come round as long as they have the heart to do so,I noticed Strouth in CF thought he played 3rd, there were several errors commited there.Who is the s.s???

    Re: J.I.B. VS POUND

Pound looked pretty rough versus Norton. Made way to many errors to even have a chance. It did appear that Pound had some different guys in different spots. In Pound's other 2 losses, I believe the OF was the weakness. Perhaps Wilson was moving Strouth to the OF to try and sure the OF up. It appears that in doing so, he weakened the infield. I do believe that Pound started the game versus Norton with 3 freshman and 3 sophomores on the infield.

    Re: J.I.B. VS POUND

Those freshmen will come round..Here at Norton we had all freshmen in the infield last year and they had alot of growing pains, but they kept there heads up and worked hard, and so far all of them are haveing a very productive sopomore season...
